Sheena White always knew that she wanted to be a nurse, but after reaching that goal she discovered that it was a passion that she wished to pursue as far as she could.

White now is a nurse practitioner-family practice at the  Mountain Grove Laser and Medical Center. She started at the Center in May part-time and since August has been  working full-time.

White began her health care career as a Licensed Practical Nurse and later became a Registered Nurse, and received a bachelor’s degree in nursing, prior to becoming a nurse practitioner.

White worked at Ozark Medical Center on the obstetrics/gynecology floor for five years, and prior to her current position she served as a nursing instructor for two years.

She stated that she enjoys all elements of family practice, but particularly likes womens health and taking care of children.

“I enjoy being around people, and helping find solutions to their problems. I enjoy this interaction with people,” she stated.

White graduated from Houston High School, and her husband, Chase, is a life-long resident of the Mountain Grove area.

“I really am a small town person. Kids and church are the big priorities in our family,” she stated.

The family attends First Baptist Church.

White is in the office Monday through Friday during regular office hours.
