Missouri State Representative Tony Dugger resigned from the 141st District position at noon on Friday.

Dugger explained that he was exploring his options after he left office and he did not want to eliminate the possibility of lobbying. He explained that legislation that will go into effect at the end of the month of August would have required a six month waiting period from the time a term expires to begin a lobbying position.

Dugger was not able to refile for the position because of term limits.

He pointed out that his office remains open with a staff person. Persons can contact the office at 573-751-2205.

The legislative position  will remain vacant until the newly elected representative takes office in January.
