Voters will head to the polls Tuesday, April 5, to fill school board and municipal positions along with several propositions.

There is only one race for Mountain Grove city alderman. Glenn Kemper and Carolyn Mitchell are seeking the position of Ward 1 alderman. All the other aldermanic positions have only one person seeking the position. Dan Bartlett seeks the Ward 2 position. Wayne Jones is running unopposed for Ward 3, and Jim Dewitt is seeking the two-year Ward 4 position. Sherri Unger is seeking the one-year Ward 4 position.

The City of Norwood has one person on the ballot seeking the two-year aldermanic position. There  are two positions open. Ron Cramer is the only candidate appearing on the ballot.

Duane Atchison has filed a Declaration of Intent to be a write-in candidate for the Norwood aldermanic  position.

The Norwood R-1 School Board will be filling two positions. Seeking the spots are Doug Chadwell, Debbie Shelton, Randy Cottengim, and Rick Calhoun.

Voters will fill two positions on the 9-1-1  Emergency Services Board for both the Western and Eastern Districts. Seeking the posts in the Western District are Robby Still, Coby Hopper and Ken Harris. Seeking the spots in the Eastern District are Dennis Garrison, Cathern Long and Danny Bledsoe.

The Plato School Board will also fill two positions on the Board. Having filed for the posts are Darrell Jay Thomas, Kassandra Hillhouse, Cody Allen McNiel, Eric T. Crews, Michael D. Hunter and Catrina Todd.

Wright County voters will also consider proposition one, “shall the County of Wright discontinue applying and collecting the local sales tax on the titling of motor vehicles, trailers, boats and outboard motors that were purchased from a source other than a licensed Missouri dealer? Approval of this measure will result in a reduction of local revenue to provide for vital services for Wright County and it will place Missouri dealers of motor vehicles, outboard motors, boats and trailers at a competitive disadvantage to non-Missouri dealers of motor vehicles, outboard motors, boats and trailers.”
