University of Missouri Extension honors a Wright County family who has earned the Missouri Century Farm Award. To qualify as a Century Farm in Missouri the same family must have owned the farm for 100 consecutive years or more. The family shall consist of direct descendants of the original owner. The present farm must also consist of at least 40 acres of the original land and shall make a financial contribution to the overall farm income.

The Billy Dale and Nancy Jane Fletcher Century Farm is a Century Farm this year. This 137 acre qualifying farm is at 9449 Bear Run Rd in Graff, Mo. The property was first purchased on May 29, 1912 by C.C. Fletcher who is Billy Dale’s grandfather. The property was inherited by four siblings and then was purchased outright by Billy. The farm is now a full-time beef operation and they plan to continue the tradition with their son Billy Joe Fletcher,  his wife Brea and their daughter Makayla.
