The square was rocking Saturday night with a free concert by the Railers to honor local firefighters. The large crowd experienced amazing musicianship, talent, and energy that will be taking this group to the top. The band members, Jordan and Jonathan Lawson and vocalist Cassandra Lawson were so excited to play for their home-town crowd, including their grandmothers Audrey Lawson, and Mary Ruth Peebles. The brothers are the sons of Kerry and Marilynn (Peebles ) Lawson.

The Railers have signed with Warner/Nashville Atlantic Records and will be coming out with a single in October with a new a full CD to follow in 2015. Currently, you can order a short CD of their music from their web site

The sponsors feel honored to have had them in town and are so excited that they want to return. The Downtown Association said that they will be booking them again and will get the dates out as soon as possible.
